How Long Does An Insect Bite Scar Take To Heal?

Adult daughter had an unknown bite on inside wrist while inside a sand pit. Instant redness and swelling. Went to E.R. was given antibiotic for nine days. Now feels after medication treatments has developed tingling sensation on two on two fingers. She was given steroid for inflammation. The bite area looks like a scar now and redness. How long will this last and will there be a permanent scar ?

It takes quite long for complete resolution.

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like Betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
