How Long Does Bleeding Last After Using Mifegest Kit For Abortion?
Hi I have taken mifegest kit as per the instructions given. As per my menstrual cycle I had pregnancy of 30days. I have havey bleeding since one week and it is still same today 8th day.just want to ask did I need to concern a doctor or it is normal after this treatment.
Hello dear Understand your concern Bleeding after 7th day after using pill is not normal. Normally abortion will complete with in 4-5 days. You should consult the gynecologist and need to be investigated. Cause of prolonged bleeding: Incomplete abortion or retain product of conception, ectopic pregnancy, improper use of abortion pill without guidance, vaginal or pelvic infections. USG should be done to confirm incomplete abortion: it should be treated by misoprostol or D & C. Tablet taxena may be given to stop bleeding. Antibiotic should be given for vaginal infections Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
