How Long Does Dizziness Last After Discontinuing Cymbalta?
Cymbalta was prescribed to my 70 year old father that already takes pain medications and the side effects of this medicine, he had only been taking it for a week, are serve enough that he experienced dizziness, and it also he acted as if he was drunk. He don t drink. Even though he only has taken this medicine for one week, how long are the side effects going to last?
The dizziness and confusion are due to the anticholinergic effects of Cymbalta. These effects are especially pronounced in the elderly. The effects of Cymbalta can last for a few days (usually up to a week) after the last dose has been taken. However, please be advised to follow up with his treating physician to assess for the presence of any underlying conditions causing dizziness and confusion including neurological and metabolic disorders.
