Hello. I have been dealing with some sort of gastrointestinal issue for the last 6 months. Diarrhea, bloating, gas, etc. My PcP tested me for everything under the sun. Everything came back negative. I even had a CT scan with contrast and it was normal, as was my kidney, liver bloodwork. She then referred me to a gastroenterologist who said I probably have dysbiosis and put me on probiotics for two months. This has gradually gotten better, even before I started the probiotics (day 6 of those), my question is, how long will it last?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
What the abdominal symptoms you are having may not be due to any illness or due to some abdominal pathologies, passing a stool three time or even four time in day could be normal one if this is not watery, diet may be the cause of abdominal symptoms you are having so try to change the diet, and no need to worry about this, once the test are normal then it is nothing to worry but try to come out of the stress because that could be the cause of symptoms that you have, hope this information, helps.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
