How Long Does It Take For My Throat Pain To Subside?

Hi Doctor. I have sever pain in leftside of my throat, very difficult to swalow antything. taking ibuprofen for pain relief and azithroycin - 500mg once in night from 2 days. Still its very painful to drink water and have food. How long will it take to recover. Please advice.

You could try Disprin or warm saline gargles since what you are describing could be an ulcer.
Have soft and bland foods which are easy to swallow and finish the Azithromycin course though an antibiotic would not really have been necessary in this case. Take ibuprofen only twice or thrice a day and only after you eat something or you could land up with a stomach ulcer instead!
If Disprin gargles do not give any relief even after 3- 4 days, do see an ENT.
