How Long Does It Take For Numbness In The Chin To Subside After A Tooth Extraction?

Hi , I had a lower right wisdom tooth extracted 5 days ago and I have numbness on my lip and chin on right side along with pain. I am on antibiotics and pain killer . I get tingling and itching feeling on the numb side . Can you help how long will it take to regain the senses

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Well it looks like nerve injury during wisdom tooth extraction and it is the cause for numbiness and tingling sensation.
It commonly takes around a week to 10 days if the nerve injury is temporary and there is not complete damage to the nerve.
In your case it looks temporary and hopefully will get better soon.
For now start taking vitamin b complex as it helps in nerve regeneration and repair.
Also do alternate warm and cool compresses over the cheek.
