How Long Does It Take For Periods To Begin After Taking Duoluton L And Cabergoline?

Hi, I have irregular periods since last 4 cycles with prolactin level of 43 when tested in last cycle. Doctor advised me of Duoluton I for 21 days with Cabergoline 0.5mg/day for weekend. I have completed this course on Aug 15th. My LMP was on Jul 23rd. Doctor said i may get early periods with less bleeding. How long can I wait to get my periods before i meet my gynec? Also are there any long term side effects of these two medicines?

Hello,

Usually, the withdrawal bleeding starts 72 -96 hours after taking the last dose of duoluton but the effect also depends on the extent of hormonal disturbance that you have.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Rakhi Tayal, OBGYN
