How Long Does It Take To Recover From An Abdominal Surgery?
yes...i just had major surgery i want to ask....how long can i expect to be out of work...and not at my 100% self....i had to have a large softball size absess removed...along with allot of infection that was in my abdomen ....the surgeons had to put a temp. coloscopy bag on me...and leave two of the two incisions open due to all of the infection that i had. i go back sometime in august for the reverse surgery...is this serious enough of a condition to where i should look into filing disability?

You can wait until the colostomy is reversed.
After the second procedure and if everything goes fine you will be alright in couple of months.
As of now take high protein diet for better wound healing.
