Hello, I would like to know what is more or less the time for a kidney stone to come out?! Mine as already come down but it s been 4 days...How long do you think until it comes out?and can I do anything previously to be less painful?! Thank you Manuel Magalhaes
Hi If the stone is in the ureter and not very large then it might come down and pass spontaneously.
I tend to leave a maximum of 4 weeks and of the stone has not passed by then prepare the patient for surgery so as to complete the surgery within 6 weeks of initial presentation.
I tend to prescribe diclofenac tablets along with tamsulosin to make the stone less painful. Dreink adequate fluids as well.
