How long does it take to see results when put on medication for high cholesterol? Off hand cannot find my results from the last time I was tested but know it was extremely bad. 53yrs 157lbs (finally exercising again, started walking 20 minutes a day..also started riding my bike this past week 3-5miles at a time) Medical history - Am taking medication for thyroid, acid reflux and for the past 4 months cholesterol. Was tested for my gall bladder a year ago because of a painful episode (which is on the cusp - can stay or remove) and was also diagnosed for acid reflux. Had a painful episode Mother s Day weekend so have since started a low fat diet and exercising....don t want to go through that again. So I was just wonder how long it takes the cholesterol medication to start working before you start seeing results.
