How Long Does The Reddish Painful Bumps Associated With Cellulitis Take To Heal After Taking Doxycycline And Clindamycin?
I have been diagnosed with cellulitis. It s located right below my eyebrow line, is large, swollen and painful. A culture obtained from a different sore on my face was determined to be Staph. I am on both Doxycyclin and Clindamycin for 4 days now. The eye lump is now beginning to peel but hasn t reduced in size yet. The associated swelling of surrounding tissue has reduced quite a bit but there is still a ton of pressure behind my eyes and in my head. How long should it take for the protruding, red, painful bump to go down?
You suffer from periorbital cellulitis. After culture and sensitivity test you have started antibiotics. Two to three weeks may take to respond effectively. Continue treatment for few weeks. Anti-inflammatory drugs may also be added.
