How long does xanan make you groggy or dizzy? I have only taken 6, .5 mg in the past about 10 days. Last one was last night at about midnight to help me sleep. I dont like how they make me feel but have some anxiety due to recent health problems and can t sleep.

The cumilative effect of the drug your taking is causing blood level of the drug to rise in the blood and in the brain.I hope you understand this. It is like adding money to a bank and the with drawl of money is less every day. So this is the reason you feel groggy. Now if you come down on a maintainence dose of .25 mg , this grogginess will go and in two weeks time the brain will get adjusted to the new lessened dose. Gradually reduce the dose to half and dont stop it abruptly as rebound effects also take place causing the same grooginess.
