How Long Should Hucog Injection Be Taken During Pregnancy?

Hello Doctor.. I am 12 weeks pregnant, I had 2 ultrasound scans both showing that the growth of the baby is fine with good heart beat. I had a missed abortion last year and my Dr. has adviced me complete bed rest with Hucog 5000 inj weekly and Progestron 300mg daily with folic acid as I had little spotting 2-3 times.I just wanted to ask that till what time should I take these inj. as Dr has asked to stop it after first trimester. I hope that by not taking these inj after 3 months, my baby doesn t gets effected. Thank you..

hi you can stop the hucog inj after 14 weeks but you must continue with folic acid and susten till 18 weeks atleast . you can discontinue susten also after that if you have no pain or spotting or lower back or lower abdominal discomfort. but if you have any one of the above signs you will have to continue with susten . all these drugs are absolutely safe and will have no side effects on the baby. all the best and take care .
