Hi,
Diflucan and Methylprednisolone do not have much interaction except that, Diflucan may increase the effectivity of methylprednisolone, as the blood level of methylprednisolone is usually increased by simultaneous use of Diflucan.
Hence, it will be better to wait for a week, if possible, for starting use of methylprednisolone, after the last dose of
Fluconazole. As the elimination time of Diflucan is long up to 7 days with normal
kidney functions. This elimination time may be even more in patients with affected kidney functions, as the main excretion of Diflucan is thru kidneys.
If it is not possible to postpone the use of methylprednisolone, then it is always advised that its use may be done under guidance of your doctor, who will monitor the effectivity of the drug & also look for any side effect, if present. In such cases, a reduced dose of methylprednisolone may have to be used.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
