Thank you for posting your query in HCM PCOS is due to Insulin Resistance. It produces irregular periods and un reliable ovulation and this makes it difficult for women with this problem to become pregnant. Myo inositol is believed to decrease the Insulin resistance. If it is working in you, your periods would be regular and pregnancy is possible after that. I am not aware any reliable study to say how long this takes. There is another well studied medicine Metformin which is proven to reduce Insulin Resistance. In my personal experience, Metformin has helped women with PCOS to attain regular periods and become pregnant. You should also reduce your weight if you are obese and exercise well and eat wholesome food. There is no harm in adding Metformin and you might conceive earlier. Best wishes, Dr. Noble Zachariah
