How Long Should One Wait From Last Period Before Taking Pregnancy Test?
Hi I am trying t connive, I am 38 years old . My gynecologist prescribed me Chymoral forte because I have one cyst about 3.1cm in my right ovary, I took two tablets every eight 8 houres , that was my doktors prescription, I had my last cycle on the nineth9 of August but now is sixtenth 16 and I didn’t get it, I did a home test is negativ. My doctor now is on vacation, please can you give me some short explanation . Thank you very much

- blood testing (HCG test) -it can be done around the expected date of periods , It is reliable in regular menstrual habit..
- Urine pregnancy test- can be done at home- you have to wait till 7-10 days delay in periods.
* the -ve pregnancy test in your case can be due to the hormonal imbalance created by the ovarian cysts you have.In such a case menstrual cycle becomes irregular, ovulation day being earlier/late/ absent.
* You can go for blood HCG testing to exclude late conception.& if it's negative get a good gynecological check up/ investigations & treatment as decided after the assessment of the results.
