How Long The Treatment For Sinus Allergy Be Taken?

I was told that I was suffering from a Sinus Allergy Cold. The nurse told me to take Mucinex for the congestion and Loraditine for the allergies. I have been doing what was prescribed but my temperature is still in the 99° range. How long should I give this treatment to work before I seek another opinion?
