How Long We Have To Patch His Eye And Is Squint Curable?

my son squient identified when he was 2 years .he was having his left eye myopic and doctor has suggested us to wear glasses with + 2.0 R eye and +4.0 L eye with 3 hours patching. initially in 3 months fixation was good but later there was no improvement now he is 6 years old . How long we have to patch his eye and is it curaible?he is having intermitent squint.

right treatment has been advised. this can be continued till he is 9years old.have to wear the glass as advised. watch for progress.at present he is taking orthoptic treatment. this is only treatment available. there is anisometropia. so what ever possible there will be improvement surgical option is open up to nine years of age

it can be done till heis of ten years of age. surgical option can be decided up to that age.he is having anisometropia. intermittent squint is due to fixation problem. with improvement in vision this will be alright.it should be curable.
