How Long Will Diazapam Stay In The System?

My daughter (22) had bad menstral cramps. I gave her a single 10 mg. Diazapam in this emergency. She may have to take a urine test for a job. What is the length of time this single dose of Diazapam will remain in her system to possibly be detected by a urine screening?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Diazepam is not used for treatment of menstrual cramp. It is used for anxiety and insomnia. It is long acting drug. Diazepam is excreted mainly in the urine. Its half-life may be up to 48 hours.. It will take at least one week to go undetected from urine sample.
Advice
1.     Never use diazepam for menstrual cramp
2.     Mefenamic acid for menstrual cramp after meal orally on as needed basis
3.     Drink at least 4 – 5 liters of water daily. It will enhance total clearance of diazepam from body
