Hi,

It is possible that the medication can be stopped but you would need to speak to your doctor to get weaned off if he or she thinks that it would be okay to discontinue it. Discontinuation would depend on your improvement in the conditions that led to them being prescribed, if you are thought to be stable and in a good place then it would definitely considered.

There are persons who are weaned off these types of medications if it is thought to be appropriate, with the long use, weaning would be necessary. Speak to your doctor when you have the chance and ask re possible discontinuation

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
