How Long Will Coughs Last After Taking Medication For Walking Pneumonia?

my son was diagnosed with walking pnemonia 10 days ago and has finished his meds. I was wondering how long the cough would last. Also, as he returns to school in this cold IL weather, should he have a preventative inhaler for the duration of the symptoms.

Sometimes the cough persists for few days even after the resolution of pneumonia and i usually advise my patients to continue with steam inhalation..
If you have an allergic tendency and have prolonged cough and cold with seasonal changes in the past then inhaler therapy for 10- 15 days will definitely help..
