How Long Will Infected, Painful Cut In Leg Take To Heal After Being On Antibiotics?
I have an infected cut on my leg and now i am in alot of pain up my leg and in my groin area. I have been perscribed strong anitbiotics .. 2000 mg of staphylex ? I have been taking them for 1 .5 days How long untill the pain goes away ? Should I go back to my doctor? - Kate

Hi,
Well it depends upon many factors (like size, place , Associated injury , infected or not, your nutrition status ......etc) for healing of wound . simple abrassion( even small lacerated wound ) can heal in 7 - 10 days.
Maintain immboilization at wound site,regular dressing , maintenance of hygiene , good nutritional status,avoid smoking /alcohol /narcotic if in habit.........etc rest other medication advised by your doc according to wound culture &sensitivity .
