How Long Will It Take For A Lump To Get Cured Caused By A Hit?

Hi, I took a direct hit by a softball last September while playing third base on the inside of my shin above my ankle. It instantly swelled and bruised up. A month after the bruise faded but it was still swollen and had a lump where the ball hit me. It is now end of January and I still have a lump in my leg, bruising and can still small amount of swelling. I have put off going in to get it checked out since I could walk, run and continue to play sports afterward but not I am getting worried.
