How Long Will It Take For The Side Effects To Subside?

Prescribed Crestor, 40m once a day. Took pills for 10 days and I think I am having issue with it. Tiredness, soreness, muscle soreness, bp has gone up a little,137/87 hr 77, when it was 120/80. Some tightness in the chest, but that has subsided, some nausea. Called Doctor who to to stop and I took a blood test, awaiting results. The question, is how long will it take for these side effects to subside, so I can feel better.

Hello,

if the symptoms are indeed caused by crestor then - unfortunately - some of the side effects may last for an unpredictable time. A couple of days would be a reasonable time to expect improvement for most of the side effects. Muscle soreness may take months to completely wear off - particularly if your CPK was found to be higher than normal.

I hope I've answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Kind Regards,
