how long does a very small amount of restylane last in the chin. The amount is about the size of a pea. It was used to fill a small depression. I'm not sure I like it, as I can see when the light hits it, it's slightly raised. Will massaging the area help to break it down. The injections is a week old.
Restylane is hyaluronic acid filler. If injected too superficially it might produce a bump which can be felt as well as seen as a bluish swelling(tyndal effect).
Since hyaluronic acid is a temporary filler, it will slowly gets resorbed. It would take around 2-3 months to resolve spontaneously. However, hyaluronidase (the enzyme which degrades hyaluronic acid) is available and can be injected by your dermatologist, to hasten the resolution.
