How Long Will The Anti Rabies Vaccine Be Effective?
hi! two years ago my cousin was bitten by a stray cat in our area and diagnosed positive with rabies he was given then in our center with an anti-rabies vaccine and then yesterday he was bitten again by a cat but he did not bother to come to the center to get an anti-rabies vaccine my question is does the vaccine given to him two years ago is still effective today?

PDepending on the type of anti-rabies vaccine your cousin has taken, he should be immune for 10 years or more. However, to best ensure this there have to be administered at least three doses of anti-rabies vaccines.
Most probably your cousin is still immune and therefore that's why he is confident and didn't see a doctor the second time he was bitten by a cat.
