Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m a 70 year old male - in good health with no meds. I m 6 feet tall and 165 lbs. I ve had two arthroscopic surgeries to my right knee both due to injuries and have been bone on bone OA since late 2009. I ve done prolo-therapy and PRP and have been getting halygon injections doe the past 3 years. However the knee pain affected my gait and now have sharp pain with moderate ability to lift my knee - and I have pain when walking. I believe this was also affected by repetitive motion from excessive golf practice. I m currently in PT and am also receiving chiropractic care of my spine. X-ray shows my right leg is pulled high up into my pelvis. Assuming a mild tear how long should I anticipate getting back to pain free activity?
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you are having osteoarthritis of knee, hips and degenerative changes in my spine. Treatment of it is analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Diacerine and glucosamine slow down the degenerative process and to some extend repairs it. Quadriceps exercises are useful. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you.
