How Many Days Before Should I Take Duphaston To Delay Period?
hi..i want to delay my periods as i am going on honeymoon..i was asked to take duphaston for the same..i would like a second opinion on this and how many days before should i start taking duphaston..say i want to delay my period from april 6th to april 13th
for postponement of periods you have to start the tablets at least 5 days before expected date of periods. It is recommended to take one tablet per day is enough but for safe side you can take two tablets per day, one morning and one evening, after stopping the tablets within 5 to 7 days you will get withdrawal bleeding. Startingo on the 1st of April would make for a good planning. They can cause side effects like nausea, vomitings, headache, bloating sensation of abdomen, breast tenderness etc, usually these will be mild and do not need medication, but if the symptoms persist and increase in severity better to stop tablets and visit your doctors once.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information or clarifications if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD.
