Hi Doctor .. This is manjula. im 23 years old..weight 46,height 5.3. im using overall tablets from 1 year.. now we are planning for a baby.. doctor told me that use folic acid 5mg.. how many days i have to use this tablets?

You are under weight,
Increase your weight.take high nourishing diet as you are planning for a baby for healthy baby.
Continue folic acid during pregnancy.
Take multi vitamine supplements.

You have to use folic acid tablets atleast for 6 months continously.These tablets prevent anamolies in the foetus & improves anaemia.
