How Many Days It Takes To Get The Period After Primolut Course Completion?
Hi I m 28 yrs 11 months old, got married 7 months ago. I have irregular periods the cycle varies from 28-37 days. My first date of last period was 7th Feb 2014 me and my husband had intercourse every day once or twice a day. In the month of March on 7th I saw hardly two drops of blood strains in my inner garment. Again on 14th and 15th I had spotting. I went for a pregnancy test (Blood) on 16th March 2014 the report was negative, Gyn. had prescribed me Primolut Nor 10mg Noresthisterone acetate -2 X 5 Days Follicum Folic Acid 5mg -Once morning X 31 days Duphaston 10 mg twice a day from 15th – 26th Day of Cycle. 37 tablets to continue for three months. I had taken the Primolut (completed the course today) I read online that it’s not safe for pregnant women. I m worried thinking I should have waited for more days after spotting to confirm that I m really not pregnant. How many days it takes to get the period after primolut course completion?

1. A course of Primolut you had taken would cause withdrawal bleeding within 8-10 days of stopping the pills.-Ve blood pregnancy test is confirmative of absent pregnancy...
- Mostly withdrawal bleeding occurs whatever be the cause of irregular periods.. see your doctor on 5th day the periods & follow her instructions about Dupaston & folic acid pills
2. Only possibility of absence of such bleeding can pregnancy ( in case of late conception ) .. to be diagnosed by repeat pregnancy test
In case -
- pregnancy test is positive you will have to terminate it( as you know,, the risk of primolut to baby ).
- In case the test is -ve ,, get other investigations done for irregular periods .. as per your doctor's advise
