How Many Times Should I Breastfeed My Premature Baby?

My baby just turned a month today. He was premature by 4 days because i had him at 36 weeks & 2 days. How long will i have to feed him every 3 hours? I sometime dont get up on time at night because i dont hear my alarm so sometimes he goes longer than 3 hours without eatting. He sleeps all through the night so i have to wake him to feed him. By me not feeding him every 3 hours doing the night is he still eatting enough? He ets 3oz every feeding.

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.

Its always demand feeding. If he is not demanding and gradually gaining weight, it should not be a problem. But feeding every 3 hours once is advisable.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
