How Much Protein Supplements Can Be Taken Daily When On Strength Training?
Hi, thanks for coming online. My question is I am 50 years old healthy male, lean body. I do strength training three days a week. I am aware that increasing muscles ups one s Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR). And it is good for controlling one s blood sugar? So how much protein supplements or Protinex I can take a day? Will taking protein or whey protein affect my kidneys? I also have blood pressure but under medication (Envas 2.5 mg daily). Thanks again. Srinivas
I really understand your concerns. Here are my recommandations to control blood pressure and blood sugar:
- Continue your workouts and the medication doctor prescribed for blood pressure, which must be keep 130/80 mmHg.
- Stop using supplements and eat a balanced diet, eat at regular times, and try not to skip meals; eat about the same amount of food at meal/snack times.
- Eat vegetables and fruits as much as possible.
