For approx. 6 weeks I ve been having hives,Back in April I had an implant of 15 years deflate saline, I had them removed and new silicone ones put in. I developed an infection and had to get one removed I was on an antibiotic for a month due to the infection and I have been off of them since 5/28 I have been really stressed about the way I look right now. One large boob and one ugly flat boob I went to my family dr. Who put me on a steroid that did not work so I went to a dermatologist who says I have full blown hives and put me on Allegra in the am and Benadryl at nite and a triamcinolone cream and moisturizer 2x a day. That has not worked. The dermatologist now wants me to go to an allergist for testing. My question is do you think this is all from my stress? Do you recommend going through all of that testing for allergies?
As per your case history, you have urticaria. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid fast food and food with artificial colors for two months. 2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are an oral steroid, hydroxyzine, took only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
