Hi I recently had a phase of non specific headaches-no pain centre. They lasted a month. I had a pressure check on eyes at the optician and got normal result, and better than 20/20 vision. GP then prescribed IMIGRAN and the headaches disappeared completely. But ever since I can hear my blood swishing at pulse in my left ear. Always my left ear. Increases at night. I do drink a lot of coffee (single parent and run a business) I wondered if I should be concerned and seek further assessment - and what I might be seeking assessment for. Many thanks
Dear I am sorry for the symptoms you are suffering I read your query and understand your concern It seems you are suffering from tensive headache In my opinion a combination of daily treatment (as you did with amitryptiline) and NSAID (ibuprofen) for some days will really help you You should avoid caffein abuse, avoid energy drinks and don't miss meals I don't think you have reason to worry too much, tensive headache is fully treatable Hope my answer will help you Stay healthy Best regards Dr Eris Ranxha Neurologist
