hello and thanks for using HCM,
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
I am not sure if the names of the drug is beviry or deviry in your question. Deviry is a
progesterone and is used in women having absent periods who are not pregnant to induce periods.
Anyway as she has not taken the drugs and is still bleeding other causes of irregular and
heavy periods need to be ruled out. She may be bleeding due to
pregnancy and can be ruled out using a home pregnancy test.
Hormonal disturbances: they are very common and need
blood test. Most get corrected after one or two cycles. Fibroids and endometrial or cervical polyps : are tumors of the uterus and also cause severe bleeding. Adenomyosis: enlarged uterus with endometrium growing in it also causes heavy bleed.
The best way to tackle this problem is to first get a urine pregnancy test done. If it is negative drugs like
tranexamic acid may be used to control bleeding and an
ultrasonography and gynec examination will help to understand the cause of bleeding.
The medicine suggested by the doctor must not be used unless the cause is determined. It is better to visit a gynecologist and look for the cause.
I hope this satisfied your query. Please take her to a gynec as soon as possible.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
