Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Would like to know how serious is eczma in a diabetic person who is 94 years old. The condition gets better with prescribed medication, Fluticasone Propionate Cream .05%, but it comes back again with a fury. Is that normal? Is this going to be an ongoing thing for her? Thank you Melba
Hello,Melba Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your query. It is very frequent to see an elderly , diabetic individual with chronic eczema. Medicine is all right. Avoid using soap. Do not stop the local application. Keep her sugar in control by medication, if it is high, see your doctor to review her medication. Good luck.
