Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I’ve been taking Prozac for 2 weeks now and I have one more pill left. My psychiatrist recently prescribed me mirtazapine. I take the Prozac in the mornings and the mirtazapine says to be taking before bed. I wanted to know how to sadly switch to the mirtazapine, do I take the last Prozac in the morning and then start the mirtazapine the same night, or do I stop the Prozac for the whole day and then take the mirtazapine at night? Thanks
Better to take Mirtazapine at the bedtime. Keep in mind that the time of intake does not affect its efficacy and you can take it any time according to your wish.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
