Hello,
It is used to prevent
pregnancy when taken within 72 hours of
unprotected intercourse. It is estimated that Postinor-1 will prevent 85% of expected pregnancies.
The sooner that you take Postinor-1 after unprotected intercourse, the more likely it is that the medication will work.
Postinor 2 possesses the same active ingredient as Postinor 1 i.e.
levonorgestrel progestogen.
Even the mechanism of action is the same. However, Postinor 1 is just one tablet and Postinor 2 comes with two tablets but with a divided dosage of Postinor 1.
Postinor 2 is another eversion of Postinor medication. It is advised not to take the two tablets at the same time.
It is dangerous and will result in messing up things for you. One table can be taken immediately after unprotected intercourse and the second tablet should be taken 12 hours later.
Rest of the characteristics are the same as in Postinor 1.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
