How Should A Fleshy Growth Above The Eye Be Treated?
Yes thank you, I have a fleshy growth above my eye on the corner of my nose. It has never given me any problems, but lately it has gotten sore and I noticed a tiny dark spot on the edge of it this morning. Is this something I should have checked out at once?
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having a fleshy growth in the eye. This indicates a probable conjunctival degeneration in the form of pterygium. The definitive treatment for this condition is by surgical excision with conjunctival autograft. This needs to be done if it is progressive or if it is causing recurrent pain and redness because of inflammations.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.
Hope the information is helpful to you.
Thank you With regards
