Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Control blood sugar within normal levels is most important. Without it being under control, treatment will take longer and healing will get affected.
2. It has been draining for a longer time and will require pus culture and sensitivity to identify appropriate sensitive antibiotic treatment.
3. Regular hygienic dressing with blood sugar control and systemic antibiotic treatment is essential. For pain, painkiller can be taken.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
