How Should Blood Pressure Medication Be Taken?

My my mom, 89 years old, takes 2 bp pills a day , morning and night. Today she forgot to take the morning pill but remembered at 2pm and took it. Can she take the second one tonight as normal or should she wait until morning to start back on the schedule?
