How Should Foot Bruising, Swelling And Tenderness Be Treated?
13 days ago I tipped over a wheelbarrow 1/2 full of bricks on the top of my left foot. I am walking just fine on it but the entire foot bruised and except underneath. Currently 75% of bruising is gone, however the swelling and tenderness on top of the foot is still unchanged. I am 54, 192 lbs, take an asprin a day...should I be concerned or just be paitient.
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got injury to your left foot 13 days back. You are walking fine over it and already 13 days has passed. You got large bruise( hematoma), 75 % of it reduced. Hematoma gradually resolved by itself .Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to anwer your query. Wishing you good health. Take care.
