Hello,
Since you are already diagnosed as non-specific
colitis, this must have been done by undergoing many investigations I hope, like
colonoscopy and biopsy.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
-Get the stool tested for 3 consecutive days.
-Tests of blood for CBC,
thyroid, liver and kidney function and other tests as may be advised by your doctor.
-CT scan of abdomen.
-Clinical evaluation by a gastroenterologist, review colonoscopy and biopsy.
All these will lead to a proper diagnosis and if a specific cause is found, then it will be treated accordingly. If all the tests are within normal limits then the possibility of IBS that is
irritable bowel syndrome and such things be considered.
Control of stress and
anxiety in such conditions. Also identify the foods and beverages and other factors that instigate or enhance the problems so that avoiding all these will help you better control over the situation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
