Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
In my practice I prefer all vaccines to be given on one visit ( 2-4 shots ) , but what you stated is a common concern of many parents , many wants one injection at a time, many wants no more than two in a single visit, rule is there should be a gap of minimum 4 weeks between two same vaccine say
DPT 1&2 ,
two inactive different vaccines can be be given at any interval .
So my answer to you is :- yes you can safely give IPV 1st dose on 4th oct or now , Yes you can give in two weeks interval , I totally agree with your
pediatrician that you can give two different vaccines at any time ( provided there are not live attenuated subcutaneous or intranasal live attenuated vaccines , in your case this in not like this )
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Take care.
