Hello,
Emergency contraception taken within three days of unprotected intercourse during the fertile days helps to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Beyond that period, nothing can be done to prevent the pregnancy. You can test for pregnancy ten days after the intercourse through the blood test or go for a home pregnancy test with a fresh early morning sample of urine 3-7 days later if the next period is missed. If pregnancy is confirmed and if you do not wish it, you can go for a medical abortion with the help of a specialist. Hope this helps.
