How Soon Should Naproxen Be Taken For The Treatment Of An Ankle Fracture?

yes Sir, yesterday the right distal fibula bone fractured or broke during a twist and slip fall while holding onto a fifty lb. box of cabbage at work. Since I e-bike to work, not a driver, I just don t have a the energy or a way to get to pick up a prescription of 375mg. of Naproxen. Until I retrieve e-bike from work. Am I risking not taking the time to get naproxen at this time. My e-bike, which has a throttle up to 20 mph so I that I can ride it without peddling is at work. Once I retrieve it then I will have a means to travel. So, is it okay to wait or should I take a bus to the pharmacy to get naproxen now? thank you, Lyle

Hello,

Taking Naproxen itself not the cure for ankle fracture. It s just a pain relief nsaid.

You can take it if you have pain. You have to confirm where is the fracture and how is the bones alignment of fracture by X-ray or joint.

Please consult your orthopedician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
