How Soon Should An Intestine Block Be Treated, Have Abnormal Stool?

Hi,I know I have a small blockage in my small intestines and my one doctor said to operate and the surgeon said he wanted to find out more before he gets in there and starts cutting away. But it feels like things are getting worse. It seems like I'm pooping alot. It;s not loose or hard. What should I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Although the symptoms you have mentioned are least to say what the problem is but as your Doctor and Surgeon has already mentioned means there is a possibility of intestinal obstruction and you can ask for the following in such a situation as your symptoms are getting worst.
Urgent Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen.
Tests of blood for CBC, electrolytes, liver and kidney function for fitness for surgery and anesthesia.
Tests of stool and urine.
Medical fitness by a Physician.
Get an appointment for an early surgery to get corrected the problems.
Remember that the good Hemoglobin and serum proteins are very important for good healing outcome.
