How To Ascertain That I Have Stones In The Gall Bladder?

Hi doctor, I delivered in Jan 2010 by C-section since my liver enzymes were elevated. now after almost 2.5 months, my liver function test shows the enzymes have come down substantially but still marginally high. Is this indication of gall bladder stones? ( I have no abdominal pain or any symptoms related to stones though)

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
If you dont have pain udner the rib cage then surgery is not indicated. I dont think that stones can cause deterioration in liver markers if there is no gallbladder inflammation so you should look for some other possible factors such as liver hepatitis, viral or autoimmune ones or maybe there is gilberts disease or toxic hepatitis cause by medications. I would not recommend gallbaldder removal if there are no large symptomatic stones in it.
I hope I have answered you query
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
