Dear Doctor,
I m 31 years old & have already had 2 c-sections already the 2nd was due to pprom in the fifth month which had to be terminated. Im trying now the third time after almost a year after the 2nd c-section. Please let me know how to avoid pprom & any precautions regarding the 3rd c-section.

I am sorry about your prior loss. You did not mention what happened with the first pregnancy, but I will assume that it was a C-section at term (between 37-41 wks). The second pregnancy likely was completely different and delivery by C-section was indicated because of the prior C-section, I am assuming. This pregnancy definitely needs to be followed differently, with evaluation of your cervix periodically to evaluate for dilation (can be done with ultrasound) and a thorough screening for different types of infection (bladder, cervix). Otherwise, it is recommended that you have a C-section, ideally at 39 weeks or beyond. There are no specific precautions otherwise, but you need to review the events of your prior delivery with your OB Provider.
I hope that this helps and good luck! Dr. Tim
