How To Avoid Pregnancy?

Hello doctors, my girl friend and i had unprotected sex probably on the last day of her menses cycle, last month. It was her first time having sex and it was painfull to her as well. Now she is experiencing a delay in her periods for this month. Im very worried that she could be pregnent 5 weeks and if so, what could we possibly do to avoid it? please help. tx

I really appreciate your concern. You should confirm pregnancy by using urine pregnancy kit available in market. If it is negative then there is nothing to worry about the periods. It may be delayed due to fear of pregnancy also.

If UPT is positive then you can use MTP kit available in the market for abortion. You can use this kit upto 7 weeks of last menstrual date. After abortion by MTP kit you should confirm complete abortion by Ultrasonography after 1 week.
